Host.net in the Community

Habitat for Humanity CEO Build
Our very own, Jason Katz, recently participated in the Habitat for Humanity CEO Build in Boynton Beach! The build is part of Habitat for Humanity’s recovery efforts in South Florida, in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County’s “CEO Build” fundraising event celebrates and harnesses the unstoppable power of corporate leaders to come together to help transform their community by helping and working alongside local, hard working, low-income families to build a safe and affordable place to call home.

To make the CEO Build effort possible, business leaders are asked to each contribute or raise a minimum of $2,500 toward the construction materials to build the Antoine Family House.

Habitat for Humanity Irma Relief
On September 29, Host.net partnered with Habitat for Humanity South Palm Beach County to restore a home in Boynton Beach, Fla. Host.net takes great pride in its community and is proud to help rebuild  homes for Florida residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
The historic storm damaged countless Florida homes, businesses and attractions, but thanks to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the hard work of volunteers, the region is beginning to restore itself.
Habitat for Humanity Women Build

Host.net was honored when Habitat for Humanity approached our CEO, Jason Katz, to recommend someone to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s 2017 Annual “Women Can Do It” Women Build Campaign. He knew the perfect person – our own Director of Marketing & Partner Development, Allie Hernandez. She will join 100 empowered women leaders in our community to raise funds and build a safe and affordable home for a local, hardworking, low-income family in South Palm Beach County. The initiative has set the goal of raising $100,000 for the project.

Our local South Palm Beach County “Women’s Build” will bring together teams to reach each participant’s individual fundraising goal of $1,000. It all leads up to the group meeting with the resident family to assist in the construction process from May 11 to 13. It is inspiring to have the chance to work with such impressive people to give back to our community.

Allie has begun working to meet her goal for this worthy cause. Those interested in donating to help her hit $1,000 can go to her fundraising page to lend their support.

On Feb. 17, Host.net had the honor of partnering with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County to build a home in Boynton Beach, Fla. We believe wholeheartedly that everyone deserves a decent place to live, and support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building houses and changing lives.

Host.net staff turned out in great numbers to assist in every facet of building this home that will benefit a family in need. Since 1990, Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County has built and renovated more than 250 homes for more than 700 family members, in South Palm Beach County. To take part in building one such home was truly a humbling experience. The experience also served as a great team-building exercise for all involved.

This is just one project of many that Host.net plans to take part in with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County during 2017 and beyond. We are dedicated to helping make our community a better place to live for all residents!
