By Nick Russo
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to all of Host.net’s clients, partners and friends. My name is Nick Russo, and I am proud to be the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). It was a big decision to move from Pittsburgh to South Florida to take on this new role. But the opportunity was too exciting to pass up.
Host.net is a fast-growing and ambitious provider for cloud, managed infrastructure and network services with an incredibly bright future ahead of it. With 20 years of experience, a revitalized leadership team and a 20/2.0 Vision initiative that sets the course for exciting things to come – it truly is a company with vast potential.
In my new role as CTO, I will be responsible for executing Host.net’s technical vision, identifying emerging technology trends, heading up research and development, creating relevant policy and developing new IT solutions. I will also communicate our strategies to partners, management, investors and employees.
I myself have 20 years of IT experience in the Managed Service Provider area, as well as LAN and WAN architecture. Prior to joining Host.net, I was the Chief Technologist at Apogee IT Services. My role was to provide a clear course for the company’s technology roadmap, industry research, mentoring and team development, refinement of the company’s current technologies and top tier troubleshooting. My new mission is to apply my strong networking experience in network design, architecture, planning and deployment to the work I do at Host.net.
I am focused on utilizing my expertise to meet the needs of customers and guide strategic direction. In short, I look forward to putting my all into meeting and exceeding the demands of our clients.
I have learned a great deal about Host.net already, and am immersing myself in the company’s work, and the work of our customers, ever day. If you would like to learn more about my work and our new initiatives at Host.net, do not hesitate to contact us!
